Glynn Owens
Artistic Director

g. edward owens passion for dance started while watching "Great Performances" on PBS.  Owens began his training at the School of Performing Arts with Russell Sultzbach. It was not until attending University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory that Owens’ passion for performing and choreography thrived. As a performer, Owens has appeared with Walt Disney World’s Festival of The Lion King, Cincinnati Ballet, Dance Kaleidoscope (IN), Verb Ballets (OH), Florida Dance Theatre, Ballet Flemming (FL), and Next Generation Ballet (FL).

 

Owens has been on faculty at University of Tampa and the Patel Conservatory as the choreographer in residence. Currently, Owens is the lead instructor of adult education programs at Orlando Ballet School – South where he teaches ballet and contemporary dance. Owens is a certified instructor of ABT’s National Teacher Curriculum.

 

In 2014, Owens became the founder and Artistic Director of 2nd Sight Dance Company with the idea of combining his love for innovative dance choreography and illusion. He hopes to create pieces that evoke feeling and provide entertainment to audiences beyond status quo.

Brittany Lebida
Dancer

Brittany Lebida received her B.A. in both dance and media and communications from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. While in college Lebida performed with Deviated Theatre based in Washington DC. After graduation she moved to Orlando, FL where she has since appeared in performances with DRIP, Mary Love Dance Projects and 2nd Sight Dance. She performed in the 2015 Fringe Festival with 2nd Sight Dance Company and is excited to be joining them again for the 2019 season. Currently, Lebida is the director of the dance department at Wekiva High School. 

Lilly Checchio
Dancer

Lillian started dancing at age three at Tanze Performing Arts Center in Fairfield, Ohio. In middle school she began her intensive ballet training at Miami Valley Ballet Theatre.Throughout high school she performed many lead roles such as Clara, Snow Queen, and theSugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker, The White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, and Swanhilda’sFriend in Coppélia. After graduation Lillian continued her training at Wright State Universitywhere she obtained her Bachelors of Fine Arts in dance. There she studied ballet, jazz, modern,pointe, tap, and choreography. She performed each year in the Spring Faculty Concert in various styles. During her sophomore year Lillian traveled to New York City to study under the American Ballet Theatre in their Collegiate Summer Intensive. Upon completing her degree in

2016 she relocated to Orlando, FL to intern with the Walt Disney Company. This is Lillian’s first season with 2nd Sight Dance.

Allison Holland
Dancer

Originally from Nashville, TN, Allison began her dance career at the young age of 3. While attending her local dance studio, Nashville Dance Center, Allison performed and competed in various local and national dance competitions. She also attended several summer programs including: Joffey Ballet Summer Intensive, New York University’s Summer Intensive, and two summers at the American Dance Festival. Allison earned her Bachelor's of Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of South Carolina. After graduation in 2017, she moved to Orlando to work for the Walt Disney Company and begin her career as a professional dancer.

Madelin Weisfeld
Dancer

Madelin Weisfeld began dancing at age four in Ellicott City, MD at a local dance studio, Ballet with Cindee Velle. She used her summers to study at Central PennsylvaniaYouth Ballet and Boston Conservatory. She graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Wichita State University. While in College Madelin performed professionally with the Metropolitan Ballet of Wichita. After graduation she moved to Orlando, Florida and performed in many parades and shows at Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Studios Orlando. Madelin has also toured the U.S. and Mexico dancing with Disney Live! Recently she has had the chance to perform at Creative City in downtown

Orlando and at other community events with Central Florida Community Arts and Yow Dance. Madelin is thrilled to be a part of 2nd Sight Dance Company and continue to bring the arts to the central Florida community.

Sarah Serrano
Lexi Pliskow
Dancer

Lexi began dancing at the age of 3 in her hometown, West Palm Beach, FL.

Her training began in ballet under the Royal Academy of Dance. She continued her education at Bak Middle School of the Arts and Dreyfoos High School of the Arts. Lexi graduated from the University of Florida with a B.F.A in Dance and a B.A. in Sociology. At UF she trained in modern, ballet, jazz, and west african dance, working with many guest artists from the U.S., Israel, and Africa. In 2014 she moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Lexi was selected to

perform her own choreography “Outcast” at SPARKcon in Raleigh. She was an

apprentice with Code f.a.d. Company, a modern dance company that combines film, art, and dance, and participated in their residency at Burning Coal Theatre in Raleigh. Lexi performed in the Greensboro Fringe Festival and also worked with the nosi DANCE theater and KT Collective in a collaboration project “Kindly Rooted”. Lexi has been a part of the Orlando dance community since 2015. She has performed with Emotions Dance Company, the Explore Composite, and Coby Project. Lexi has participated in Creative City Project and Orlando Fringe Festival as well as debuted some of her own choreography at The Shift. She is excited to continue being a part of the Orlando dance community and begin her journey as a new company member with 2nd Sight Dance.

Emily Suchyta
Dancer

Emily grew up dancing in Michigan and attended The State University of New York at Buffalo where she was a member in Zodiaque Studio Dance Ensemble, and graduated with a BA in Theater and Dance. Emily has performed on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas, along with various shows and parades at Walt Disney World for ten years, and locally with The Dance Company at CFCArts. This is Emily’s first season with 2nd Sight Dance Company and couldn’t be more excited!

Auditions

2nd Sight Dance Company is looking for talented dancers to be a part of our first season as a professional dance company.  Dancers must be technically trained in ballet and contemporary dance. Strong improv and the ability to use props are a must. Rehearsals take place on Sundays.
